Why be normal?
According to Websters, normal is defined as:
(a) according with, constituting, or not deviating from a norm, rule, or principle
(b) conforming to a type, standard, or regular pattern
(c) occurring naturally
So by that meaning, everything we do that’s the same as everyone else, is normal. Your regular daily ‘normal’ pattern is to have some loud, buzzing electronic instrument shock you awake at some ungodly hour so you can stumble into the shower, clean yourself up, eat, take a one hour commute to work to sit in a desk for 8 hours then another hour back home to cram everything in you need to finish before going to bed and starting all over again.
Sounds fun, doesn’t it?
Er… no.
So I guess the logical question is, why on earth would anyone want to be normal?

on the other hand, if you look at ‘occuring naturally’ you could say that anyone doing what you described is not normal
I say, lets celebrate not-normalness everyday by doing something crazy (to whatever degree of crazyness feels good to you)
I’m dying my hair red-and-pink tomorrow… what are you going to do?
Tomorrow is what, Saturday? Well, I’m planning on a stint on the exercise bike so I can flip the bird to all those people who are telling me I’m not going to play hockey again in September.
Kiss my butt, suckers. I’ll see you on the ice!
After that — um… have some chocolate coated sugar bombs for breakfast and kick the day off right!
that sounds like an awesome plan, specially the chocolate coated sugarbombs
Crazy Canadian woman going on to the ice voluntairily :p hahaha. I bet you kick ass, that’s probably the real reason they don’t want you to play hocky. So cool your breaks are healing so well.
