Congrats on the awards and I must say I'm another fan of the action flick rather than the chick flick. It has to have a sexy guy in it though. Nothing wrong with a bit of eye candy for us girls. Why do I like the action? Guess if cos' I dream I'm the one that helps the hero lick his wounds (so to speak) - and doesn't everyone just love a hero anyway?

I am entirely the same way, though I don't write a lot of action scenes. I have a running list of books I just haven't read that "all romance writers should read," or so I've been told. I've NEVER read Pride & Prejudice (with or without zombies); Gone with the Wind (it's on my TBR pile); anything by any of the Bronte sisters; Wuthering Heights; Twilight (because that's what everyone's crazy about these days and I just can't bring myself to it)... The list goes on and on.

So I say, you go, girl. Romance writers aren't all made up the same way, and we don't all have the same tastes. That's what makes the genre successful: the common desire for romance, however you interpret it, reaches every single niche!
