I wish I was a Nielsen Family
So I was watching an episode of Moonlight the other day (Alex O’Loughlin, not Bruce Willis) and it made me wonder just why it was they pulled it after only one season? The show, from what I understood, was doing reasonably well in the ratings but never recovered from the long delay due to the writers strike. Apparently the wrong people have Nielsen boxes if it was all based on ratings. Fans tried to keep it going but alas, it died. No more yummy vampire for me. They tore the sets down and off it went to the dust pile.
Now for the rest of you out there who also think Mr. O’Loughlin is definitely worthy of a second, third, forth, millionth look, check out this teaser for his new movie coming out – The Backup Plan. The world definitely needs more of this man shirtless.

My first love, Stargate Atlantis, also went the way of the studio-exec’s-pencil-slashing. Clouded by the promise of “a DVD movie”, it disappeared from our TV’s to make way for Stargate Universe (which I still haven’t watched yet). It’s said that the SG1, SGA, and SGU plans are all different, that the production of one does not affect the production of the other. But I’ve worked in television. It all comes down to the bottom line… money. So as of yet, fans still have yet to hear any positive news about SGA the movie. I refuse to give up though. The sets are still standing (which gives me hope). And hell if the XFiles can come back after all that time with a movie…. ’nuff said. In the mean time, I’ll keep up with the fanfic in the hopes of seeing my favorite characters back on screen. Sexy alpha-males, explosions and gunfights, sexual tension and great sci-fi. Sigh. I miss SGA.
If us girls had any say in the matter then shows with sexy guys in them would never end.
Alex is also in a new medical show playing the lead role as a doctor. I’ve only seen one episode and I can’t remember the name, I was too busy drooling of Alex.
Hah yeah the donor show was just canceled, I think. He’s not having much luck. I’m so going to see the movie though! Shirtless + Alex = must see!
Hi Nika, I absolutely love your SGA stories and sadly now that the show has been cancelled could you please, please, please, keep writing them. They are fantastic! I reacon I’ve read them all at least twice. Also you are not missing much in SGU, it’s CRAP. Merry Christmas.

I don’t plan on giving up any time soon! Although time is crunched, I have plans for 2 more already batting around in my head. I just have to get the hours free to sit down and write!
I still haven’t caught any episodes of SGU. Partly timing and partly drive. I don’t know why but I’m still mourning my SGA and am not willing to move on just yet.

I saw a bit of one of his movies (Feed) very creepy so I turned it off, but he’s mostly shirtless in it the first 15minutes *hmmm*omnomnom* huuuuge tattoo on his back too, also very delish
And SGU, I’m not sure about it yet. It’s okay, not too bad, but I miss the fun stuff… SGU is more dark and serious. I’ll have to see what the second half brings. According to David Blue it just gets better after the break.
Now I’m going to see how to get the RSS to your blog back up on my compu.
